Homeschool in the Woods (Age 5-12)
Health insurance is required to attend. 

Is your homeschool student curious about nature? Do they enjoy spending time outside? If so join two ADK naturalists as we explore the many ecosystems at ADK’s Cascade Welcome Center. This series of hands-on, student led, classes will take us in search of what lives in Adirondack forests and wetlands. Through games and other activities students will learn about the different systems involved in running a healthy ecosystem. 

This program meets for three hours on the second Monday in September, October, and November. All three dates are included in the program fee, a multi-child discount will automatically be applied after your first student is registered. Please make sure your student is prepared to spend the whole program outside. Parents and guardians are required to stay on site during the program and are welcome to join the group if interested. Restrooms and wifi are available in the Welcome Center for the duration of the program. 

Parents and guardians should plan on meeting with instructors at ADK’s Cascade Welcome Center at 9:30am, located at 4833 Cascade Rd, Lake Placid, NY 12946. The course will run until approximately 12:30pm.
