Winter High Peaks: Tabletop
Health insurance is required to participate in the program.
Whether you are working on your Winter 46, uncomfortable approaching the high peaks on your own, or just looking for a great winter hike in the mountains, these one-day guided trips are for you. All hikes are strenuous and will require a full day of snowshoeing.
This program is a guided day hike to Tabletop Mountain (elevation 4,427’, 9.8 miles round-trip with approximately 2,300’ of elevation gain). Parking is included for program participants. After introductions and a trip overview we’ll embark on our journey to this “trailless” summit. Along the way we’ll discuss safe off-trail travel and the rich natural history of the Adirondacks. The trip will be led by ADK’s Education Department staff.
Prior snowshoeing experience is highly recommended. Good physical condition, proper winter clothing, and proper equipment are a must.
*ADK cannot guarantee a time the guided trip will be completed by.*
