Try your hand at nature journaling with an ADK naturalist! Join us in the new year as we combine art and science to explore the special landscape of the Adirondacks in the winter and engage in self-reflection. Learn how journaling can unlock new discoveries about nature and yourself. Try different strategies to observe nature through guided activities and journaling prompts.
Art supplies and paper will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own journals if they would like. This program will begin indoors with an outdoor section to follow. Depending on trail conditions, snowshoes or microspikes may be needed when we are outside. ADK will have pairs available to borrow, or you are welcome to bring your own.
This program is recommended for everyone ages 8 and up. Children must be supervised. Please register each participant individually so that the instructor can adequately prepare.
