Whether you are working on your Winter 46, uncomfortable approaching the high peaks on your own, or just looking for a great winter hike in the mountains, these one-day guided trips are for you. All hikes are strenuous and will require a full day of snowshoeing. 

This program is a guided day hike to Esther Mountain (elevation 4,240’, 6.6 miles round-trip with approximately 2,600’ of elevation gain). After introductions and a trip overview, we’ll embark on our journey to this “trailless” summit. The trip will be led by ADK’s Education Department staff.

Prior snowshoeing experience is highly recommended. Good physical condition, proper winter clothing, and proper equipment are a must.
