Whether you are working on getting more comfortable recreating in the winter, building your stamina for a bigger peak, or just looking for a great winter hike in the mountains, these one-day guided trips are for you. 

This program is a guided day hike to Rocky Falls (elevation 2,100’, 4.6 miles round-trip with approximately 400’ of elevation gain). After introductions and a trip overview, we’ll embark on our journey to this serene icy waterfall. The trip will be led by ADK’s Education Department staff.

Prior snowshoeing experience is highly recommended but not required. Good physical condition, proper winter clothing, and proper equipment are a must.
